Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
By using Languit (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Languit. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. The service
Languit lets you generate language-learning lessons from publicly available YouTube videos. The Service is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect transcript accuracy, or any specific learning outcome.
3. Free and Pro plans
The free plan includes 5 lessons per month. Pro is a recurring subscription billed via Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Pricing and feature scope may change with reasonable notice.
4. Refunds
Subscription refunds are handled by Apple and Google per their respective policies. We don't process direct refunds.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to abuse the lesson generation API
- Submit URLs that lead to illegal, copyrighted-without-permission, or harmful content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute generated lessons commercially
6. Content and intellectual property
You own the YouTube URLs you submit. We claim no rights over them. Generated lessons are derived works created for your personal study use; do not redistribute them.
The Languit name, logo, and software are our property.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may close your account anytime via Settings or by emailing hello@languit.com.
8. Disclaimers
Languit is not a substitute for human instruction. AI-generated lessons may contain errors. Use your judgement.
WE PROVIDE THE SERVICE WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 if you're on the free plan.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be brought in the competent courts of Paris.
